
Overview:
The infection control program aims to equip Registered Nurses with the knowledge, skills and competencies necessary to practice effectively in the prevention and control of infection.

Program Outcomes:
This program aims to prepare nurses who are able to:
- Integrate knowledge, practical and cognitive skills in infection control context toward excellent health care services.
- Demonstrate high team spirit and effective communication skills to perform better in infection control practices.
- Utilize digital and numeracy skills with high sense of leadership, responsibilities and accountability for the health care industry.
- Practice professional and ethical integrity with lifelong learning attitude for continual and professional development.
Program Structure:
This program consists of theoretical input and clinical practice in Infection Control.

- Communication, Counselling and Ethic in Infection Control
- Fundamental of Infection Control
- Management of Infection Control
- Clinical Practice

- Six (6) months full time program

Entry requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree in Nursing
- Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) or its equivalent
- Possess Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Minimum Two (2) Years Clinical Working Experience
- Possess at Least Three (3) Months Experience in the Related Speciality
Certification:
- Post Basic in Infection Control
