
Overview:
The Renal Nursing program aims to equip Registered Nurses with the knowledge, skills, and competencies necessary to work safely and effectively in the renal setting.

Program Outcomes:
This program aims to prepare nurses who are:
- integrate specialised knowledge, cognitive and practical skills in caring for the patients with altered renal function
- demonstrate effective communication, high team spirit with good leadership skill within a multidisciplinary team of renal related unit
- utilise digital and numeracy skill with high professional integrity and ethical value in the management of renal patients
- apply life-long learning skills in renal nursing practices to expand their personal and professional development
Program Structure:
This program consists of theoretical input and clinical practice in Renal Nursing.

- Basic Nephrology
- Renal Nursing Sciences
- Psychological Aspect of Renal Nursing
- Renal Nursing Practicum
Duration:
- Six (6) months full time program

Entry requirements:
- Diploma/ Degree in Nursing
- Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board (MNB) or its equivalent
- Possess Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Minimum Two (2) Years Clinical Working Experience
- Possess at Least Three (3) Months Experience in the Related Speciality
Certification:
- Post Basic Certificate in Renal Nursing
